Nothing about this book makes ballroom dancing easy. There are no photographs, no diagrams of step patterns. Just page after page of abbreviated sequences that are difficult at best for a novice to follow. If I had years of dancing, and an intimate understanding of the various terminology, maybe this book might be of some value. It is not for a beginner!! Very misleading description!!Product details

This ballroom dance teaching book is great. It does a good job of explaining the steps needed for men and women to use in the many dances it covers.
Fantastic book! Takes you through all the background info you need to understand the culture of ballroom dance. Then easy to follow step-by-step instructions for both the man and woman to learn ballroom dance steps. Lots of helpful tips to make it easy to learn and get started dancing quickly. Never thought dancing could be so easy and fun. What a great resource.
Good if you are learning to dance.
My husband & I found this book extremely helpful. We are novice ballroom dancers and this book outlines and defines all the steps for our dances. We use it as a reference to clarify dance steps. We'd highly recommend this book for any one learning to ballroom dance!
I'm currently taking ballroom dancing lessons. I found this book extremely helpful for individual practice after a lesson. So often you forget the steps when you get home, but this book so clearly explains each step that it is easy to continue practicing between lessons. I also liked the personal introduction and rules of conduct and etiquette. Most people in public dance settings don't follow the rules and it can be annoying. More people should read this book.
